The Sea

The Sea

Stood by the cliff,

I found someone in the sea.

A dark figure, a blurred creature,

Trying to copy me.

Cold strong wind,

Trying to push me off.

Pebbles don't help much,

Nor does the grass.

Swiftly the wind picks me up

Pushes me by my shoulders

Head down first.

The Sea was deadly,

Roaring like a lion.

The clouds felt heavenly,

Just like a comfortable cushion.

I turned my face back to the sea.

Watching the dark creature grow.

Thought he would catch me,

But even he let me go.
